honestly don't think so since if he had passed Jason Canty would have probably gotten word out to all the people that donated to AVP kickstarter to commission Jim and I haven't heard anything of the sort. Last I heard Jim was getting his affairs in order and recovering from surgery.

According to the obituary, Hardiman passed away on 8/29/14, so he could have very well faved that art.

dragoneer has confirmed it, he has indeed passed away...and the fandom fades a bit, we can but hope another shineing light rises to fill the void, but ever shall we remember this, one of the founders of our fandom...i havnt felt this bad since i heard M. Sherman passed....

Oh its a horrible shame. I love his work...we must do something to honor him.

Ysergrin infromed my on IB. And what I found out on Wikifur is that he died on 29th August. I was like NO WAY. I checked then the FA page which was marked as Deceased. I remember back then when I bought Skunkworks reflection, because it was about to pay his medical bills (The more I am happy about the law in germany that EVERYONE has to have a health insurance now, even if I can't really afford it) Even though he didn't got anything out of the sale as it seems and let it go. Also the last journal on his page which is just a month ago, that he has trouble keeping food in. James Hardiman will be missed by many. And there must be really a few who don't know him. But still. Not knowing James Hardiman is for me like not knowing Jim Henson. Damn Diabetis.
