10000 hours. That's how long it takes to be an expert at (insert skill here).
That's 4 hours of drawing every day for 6 years, 1000 10-hour drawings or 2000 5-hour drawings. I mention this because I can barely stand the quality of my art and I feel like I can and should do much better. I always wonder if I'm doing something wrong, but I think it just comes down to practice (or lack thereof). I have been drawing for two years, so I think I'm being a little hard on myself. If anything, it's a good reason to keep practicing. I made it my mantra.

Yeah, I'm always trying very hard to find things to improve on and push my limits: smoother and more realistic shading, cleaner lines, better proportions and angles, more detail... Thanks for the advice, though. I'll be sure to keep it in mind.
