Put in a bid on a house before it went on the market because my real estate agent alerted me to it. Nice place, needs only a few thousand dollars work on the outside which my uncle can help with.

Problem: it's a short sale, so that means that for this sale the bank is homeowner, not the person living there, and they call the shots. It's a large bank too, which means it could get tied up in bureaucratic tape for months. Ugh. But if I get the place before Christmas, it'll be nice. :)
