Being an artist [AND] a fan is difficould!

Jeez, here goes some ranting, but I really need to.
How can someone be ARTIST + FAN?!
As some people know I am a big One Piece fan. Tomorrow is the birthday of one of the characters I like, and for days I have an idea what to draw, but I just can't find the time. I am dying to get my to-do list a bit more empty, and sometimes I would like to stop drawing for others for good, because lets not even start talking about pokemon! I have more than 100 pictures started by now, and I tell you, I won't ever finish even half of them.
Why does making art takes so much time? How do artists draw personal stuff? I just can't - ....... :'D
Seriously, if there are any news or special dates, I never get to draw about those things, not until it's months later. And that sometimes frustrates me to no end. There is so much art I want to make, and I am so slow with it, just what am I supposed to do? xD
Ranting over I guess. Thanks to everyone who read it.
If you did read it, comment and you'll get a virtual hug! <33

Sadly I got to say, right now I don't even have any commissions. It's more stuff like promised art that keeps me too busy. But paid or not, doesn't change that there are people waiting for it. :'D
I have folders full of half-finished work stemming back to 2009 or so. Slowly I'll finish them, I hope.
Maybe try taking less commissions, like one or two at a time so you can work on personal work in between. That's what I'm hoping to do~
To ever finish nearly all the art you start might be impossible, atleaast for an active artist I guess. But what can you do about it? -sigh- And sadly I don't even have commissions right now, no one interested. It's more the raffle art aswell as promised art that keeps me busy. And I know, once that is all done there will be new stuff I owe people anyway. xD
I have one commission I'm finishing now, I hope to fill gaps between commissions and personal art with YCH auctions. I hope I can find a nice balance between them all.
It sounds like you need to find the right balance too. Here's to finding happiness through our art!
