Future Commissions (info/possibilities)
I didn't get enough responses for speed commissions. So Im not going to be offering those, and will simply keep my money belt tight for the next few months.
However, Ive been trying out a new program called Sculptris, and I think this will open up some new possibilities for art and commissions. I may be able to add more customizable morphs to my models. Instead of sculpting a character from scratch, I can change the shape of a daz model. So far, Ive only got the daz dragon 3 to work. I hardly have an idea of what Im doing, it'll take me a while to figure the process out. Maybe I could someday sell the morphs I make.
Right now I have 2 large commissions to complete and 1 person on the waiting list. Due to school, I will not be taking anymore until all of these are done.
Future commissions will be single images only. I have felt my quality in series/comic commissions has been lacking. It also kills me to learn a new trick in lighting or something, but I cant use it in the series because it would be a noticeable difference between panels.
Since they would be single images, I hope to do more OC's, or at least make them an option. I want to be able to accept any commission that comes my way.
Prices are in question. I wont update those until Im ready to open again. I'll also need to run some tests to see how much work goes into sculpting a custom shape.

If you still want to, we can work something out.
What kind of background? I can do several different cities, a more forest like environment, a blank background, or I might be able to try Vue. I think the price will be affected by the background you choose.
However, I would like you to use Vue for the actual lighting :)
We both need to practice that program some XD
I might make it a bit of a sequence, in the future (Commission one 'page' at a time) but I want to start with the biguana halfway down the dinosaur's throat, and it still swallowing down the second half of it, head tilted back and eyes somewhat clenched as its swallowing as hard as it can, trying to get that well-sized bulge in the neck down into the belly (Lightwave should be able to 'enhance' the default Swallow morphs :3 )
So you want the bulge more defined (an not a generic lump)? Ill play around with sculptris and daz to see what I can get.
Mmm slightly yes. I don't want it as defined as the bulge I did here with C4D's deformers (Where it takes the geometry of another object to do the deforming), but I would like it a bit more defined than the built-in bulge. Biguana sized and shaped (more elongated and etc) but not to the point where you can make out where its legs and feet are xD
Maybe add in a second biguana somewhat near the dinosaur's feet, running away from it? (buddy just got caught and eaten, musta been on a hunt together when the T-Rex came!)
And yeah, I can add another one running away :)
I can do it one of two ways. Import a posed and static object (Generally exported as a DAE file from Carrara, but D|S should be able to do the same. OBJ, FBX, 3DS... As long as material zones are preserved) and then push and pull the polygons as I see fit...
Or I use Interposer Pro to make a Morph Target, then create some bulges in various spots and then just use those morphs. I'm still trying to figure out how I can permanently save them, then hand 'em out without distributing the actual file/model itself =/
One other way is to pose it, then freeze it as a static figure and adjust the polygons (And I've had some luck with the Correction Deformer which allows you to work on posed/deformed/etc meshes without them resetting)
Lightwave should have similar functions, it has to! D:
If all else fails, just go with what you know best. I don't want this to be frustrating for you after all x)
If this does turn into a sequence - now or later - I'd like to have it go through the following:
*T-Rex still has its head tilted back, biguana is sliding into the back of the throat (Camera looking down from above)
*T-Rex's jaws close, bulge is sliding down the neck. Second biguana is a bit away, has stopped running and is looking back at the T-Rex
*T-Rex begins to chase after, the bulge disappeared from the neck and is now rounding out its belly
*Biguana wasn't fast enough! T-Rex snaps down on its tail...
*Lifts it up and begins swallowing, showing two or three small'ish panels of the biguana being swallowed whole
*One last view, from the biguana's PoV being partially inside the throat looking outwards at the jaws sloooowly closing
*T-Rex lumbering away with a beautifully swollen stomach
Given 3D mostly involves posing (Once everything else is all set up) this would be quite a bit easier than drawing, but would still be tedious. As such, I'd probably do it in 'chunks' x)
I know how you feel: lots of commissions/trades/gifts is quite the stress load. I only have 3 commissions (not including this one) and it is quite difficult to do much at all.
Ill have to figure out a cost for the image as I build it. I still have no idea how much work it will take to edit the bulges, though its probably good you chose the city environment, that will be a lot easier than making a forest and rendering that.
Maybe some you could pay with cash, some could be trades (if you're up for it yourself or commission other artists), maybe some could be collaborations where you make the bulges in your fancy programs. We'll try to have some fun with it.
Let me get a little further in the two commissions I have going and Ill start this one. :D
When you get more comfortable with Lightwave and stuff (There should be a poser pluggy for it but...) then things like this wont seem so time consuming and intimidating - trust me on that, it was the same way for me at first xD Wasted soooo much time doing things the long and hard way until I realized there were simpler solutions I was overlooking.
Honestly though, the whole thing could be done just fine with the built-in swallow morphs (And perhaps a bit of D|S modifiers) - so spend a few moments tinkering in Lightwave, seeing if you can figure a way to do it - and if you can't, just go with the tried-and-working way x)
