RIP Richard Kiel

He may not have been as famous as Robin Williams, but Richard Kiel always held a special place in my heart reserved for character actors. A "gentle giant," I especially liked him in grade-b schlock-fest "Eegah!" where he played the title character. http://insidemovies.ew.com/2014/09/.....ard-kiel-obit/ May he rest in peace.

And pardon this comment, but to those of us who remember him as 'Jaws' from the James Bond movies it's kind of stunning to think that even the Grim Reaper could have stopped him.
I also remember him from several 50-70's TV series, where he usually played the heavy. Like the Diablero from one episode of The Night Stalker, and a murderous demon (actually a fake) in one episode of Boris Karloff's Thriller TV series.
And of course his role in the goofy yet fun Cannonball Run 2 as Jackie Chan's backup driver, one of his few good guy roles.
He'll be missed.
