A family member lost. 9/13/14

.......BEGIN TRANSMISSION.......
You'd been with us seven long years,
You'd lived twelve before that,
When you came to us, without fears,
We knew you were a special cat.
Never one to jump or skip or play,
Neither fiesty, nor easily provoked,
In fact, you'd mostly just lie all day,
And purr quite loudly whenever stroked.
You always answered to your name,
Hop up on the bed, just to keep us warm,
Of all our pets, you were most tame,
Now that you're gone, we will mourn.
There is no denying one particular fact,
For even as you've gone on to the worlds next,
You've left behind a special warmth,
Within our hearts, where purrs reside.

*Hugs* My condolences. Hard to lose a cherished pet (have lost several of our own over the years, and our cat just passed away last month at 23 years old)
