Ocean tribute, kind of early contemporary

"Mother Ocean"
A steady rhythm floats thought warm waters,
A cover's folds, where nothing fell is known,
Only soft and the amniotic sea
But the piper at dawn's gate sounds his tone.
Wisps of straw on a slow-running river,
Each becomes an island to short-lived things.
Earth is an ocean, our ocean mother,
Source in the vein from which all life springs.
