I love silent hill 2. Silent hill 3 is probably my favorite though.

both were amazing games with incredible environments that instilled the fear in you and kept making it stringer and stronger till the monsters set it off, a very important feature freddys seemed to lack.

As an indie game, they couldn't really have the funds to make a whole, full length game like Silent Hill. They didn't have the funds to make a constantly changing environment that could keep the atmosphere that keeps building that fear inside while playing Silent Hill. What most of the scares are for the game, is the surprise of looking at the cameras for just a few seconds, and then one of the 4 coming up and "killing" you while you work trying to survive the night. These are both two different types of fear. One, Silent Hill, is the long, drawn out fear that you, as the character in the game has, while the other, 5NAF, has the jumpscare fear. 5NAF is a game where it actually could be you in that chair. Something like Chucky Cheese or something like that. Comparing the two games, yes, you can, but it seems unfair, seeing as they are two completely different games with different tactics and different goals.

your argument is very valid, guese im just susceptible to the long drawn out fear, my mother jumping around couners at me all my life made me not be surprised or concerned at all about 5naf so I gave it love review because to me it was a bad game

Did you play it alone, at night in the dark, headphones on? I doubt it.

You also have to remember that FNAF is an indie game. Comparing it to a series like Silent Hill that comes from a big name company, having a huge budget and top-of-the-line resources, isn't fair at all.

I am nocturnal, I sleep in the day because I can only spend time with my mate when its nighttime in my timezone. so I did play it at night and I do use headphones while gaming, it helps me ignore my pain in the ass party naibores -_- never actually thought the cops would say no about putting a stop to a loud house party at 3am. and as for my comparison, see my above reply to my brother scion. I conceded he and you are right I cant really and shouldn't compare it to the name brand games.
