FA+

1) Tell you something I learned about you by looking at your FA page for 10 seconds.
That apparantly your a cho-a-holic X) Possibly just as bad as me..(I hope not! would mean even more competition on my favourite energy source)
Also..Nintendo fan :) YAY!
With 10 secs, I just thoguh the general profile info seemed like a good chocie toglance over..
2) Tell you a color you remind me of.
Brown :|
Not very original is it?
3) Tell you my first memory of you.
First memory..well technically, my brother telling about you being a scientist, a wildebeest and having the name of raygon or something, but possibly in a different spelling.
And...having to have about 3 atempts using different spellings to get your FA page :)
But I think it's more fair to say, the Betulin derivatives, or somethign liek the wodner drug of the moment.
It was a very interesting first conversation!
4) Ask you a question.
What's your connection with the Wildebeest?
You don't see those around much X)
5) Tell you something I like about you.
Right now, you seem like a very open and nice guy so far.
Plus, it's great to find people to talk about science with!
because..well you know..SCIENCE!!! MWHAHAAHAHA!
Evil scientists just need someone to explain their evil plans too after all...and double plus for understanding them :)
6) Tell you the object that is next to me.
NEXT to me, right? Well to the right my Yoshi 3DS XL :)
I have no idea how I remind you of the colour brown. :I
The idea of a wildebeest came about because of my then-girlfriend of about three years ago. Note that I wasn't a furry yet back then, I didn't even know this fandom existed.
She would assign animals to people, and I got the wildebeest, because I have a pretty long face. (At that time I also had my hair long, so that contributed as well. X3 ) The idea stuck with me, I found it nice, and thus made it my fursona. Plus, I've always loved horned creatures.
Also: SCIENCE!
PErhaps the collour should be white of labcoats, or red...yeeah, Red
Nicer collours then brown :)
"working on a furry comic/book" <=== Still doing this? Cool!
2) Tell you a color you remind me of.
Silver
3) Tell you my first memory of you.
I believe it was at a open rpg day thing (how typical! X) ), and not the first RP ever, but a certain scene in Ravenloft is remembered the most..
I don't know exactly which was the absolute first rpg yuo ever played, but it was either Dragonstorm, or Ironclaw I think...
You wheren't around when I did Shard if I recall correctly, so I suppose you can fill that little detail in yourself :)
4) Ask you a question.
In an rpg, preffer light rules/mechanics (like Toon, Everway, etc), heavy (D&D, GURPS, Fireborn) , or somewhere in between?
5) Tell you something I like about you.
Generally very enthusiastic and nice, perhaps on occasion a bit too rash in taking action, but it can bring about interesting moments.
6) Tell you the object that is next to me.
First thing that came in my sight was a snake mug. (a mug, rsembling a snake curling around it to form the mug and ear)
7) Dare you to do this yourself in your own journal.
Go do it!!
As to your question about mechanics and the light/heavy rules: It depends upon if I am the player or host, having many mechanics and rules can be overwhelming, but also make your character as a player very unique, you get so much information that you can do alot with it. Alot of skills can bring me on new ideas or strategies I can use within the game, guiding me to display the array of actions I can take.
On the other hand, hosting such a game, like Ironclaw, can sometimes become a painful progress. The chances of making errors in the mechanics/rules are high, and players need a few sessions to get used to the rules.
Light mechanics and a few rules are something I really love in games like Everway and Toon, the games are story driven, and I adore storytelling. I love to come up with unique, funny things to throw at players. It's also alot easier for players to get into. You don't need alot of time to make a character and know the rules. The only downside to these kind of games is that it expects the players to come with their own creative solutions and actions. On occasions that can be tough for someone who isn't used to that amount of freedom. As a host this can take a bit more effort than usually needed. As a player, I also like the freedom, it usually means I end in trouble (hurhurhur) but it also brings interesting problems and outcomes.
In short: it's something in between, although I lean a bit toward light mechanics and rules. I love both Ironclaw and Everway and the sheer work I put in new stories for Ironclaw is big, but satisfying. The stories can become so epic that Everway has a hard time getting to that level. Everway is just brilliant in it's simplicity, it's just about having fun, and sometimes that's just enough.
It's a bit unfair asking for me to do it, and not giving me the chance back X)
You were saying? =P
