I won!
I almost didn't enter but, after setting up the Gaming department at Furry Migration, I went back to my room and logged on to my laptop to see what the "secret ingredients" were going to be for the inaugural "Iron Pen" Flash Fiction contest.
Entered anonymously, I had to write a story no longer than 1,000 words in 12 hours or less, including a Minnesota native animal (I chose a raven and threw in a moose for good measure), a "migration" (I elected to choose a mystical journey from life into death), and "time travel".
Very cool result: I won! YES!
Maybe I've not lost my touch, yet, eh?
