At least in terms of gaming, I'll give you a hint though because if I leave it without a hint, the thing is too broad!
The song is in the Nintendo universe, this can include old games, new games, newly acquired IPs by Nintendo ranging from their first console to their newest, including handhelds.

Still a little broad? Well alright, the series of the game has been on 4 to 5 consoles/handhelds depending on things. I can't go any more into it than that. I'll give you guys one more hint if you guys get REALLY close to it.

However to make it more fun, please share your favorite game song that makes you totally nerd out or go into a nostalgia trip.

Sounds like Zelda to me. I would assume its my favorite, Dragon Roost Island. But I think that's a little too much wishful thinking lol

Absolutely loved Dragon Roost Island, that was my jam when I just wanted to let go and relax, but nah that's not it. Good choice though. ^^

I was always skeptical to try wind waker mainly because of its looks and I admit, while the sailing is boring as hell, the game is absolutely amazing and the music alone kept me playing it when I was still skeptical about it. When I first got to Dragon Roost Island I literally stopped what I was doing and just sat there for like 30 minutes listening to it xD

I'll be honest, I've NEVER played a castlevania game. Always wanted to but never had the chance. Cool song though!

Symphony of the night was one of my favorites in the series, it had -looks it up- four different endings to it depending on your progression

You really should! Its really great. Whether you like old style prior to symphony of the night or the rpg metroid like later versions or even the 3D beat them up rpg versions of the consoles is entirely up to you but you should definitely try them all!

Only series I can think of that fits in is Fire Emblem. Sadly, I haven't played any of them, so I can't quite make a guess... I'll keep thinking about it.

Oooother possibility may be Starfox. Main games on SNES, N64 and GC. There was a NDS game, and a few re-releases in both Wii and 3DS...

It's in the same series of games that you provided. Yet the theme itself has started in the N64 in 3 different levels, the gamecube in a few levels, and remixed numerous times for various other games. It's also been on the DS too. ^^
