Well.. i guess I can just chop this one up to the college experience but my cot finally broke and em now sleeping on the floor.. on a pile of various blankets and such and all i can say... you would think things you slept on would be more comfertable.. i hope my shoulder will finally stop throbing now

I have done that when I was in High school years ago. I know thats not a good. I recomned getting a air matters soon. I thought about doing that just to have one on hand for when family visits or I go to a con. I think a twin size its around $25 at Wallmart.

Agreed! I would get one either with an electric pump built in or better, just get the pump separate in case of a puncture that you can't fix

Some of the higher dollar ones are less likely to get holes since its a very plastic.

I can understand your pain. After we moved to our current house I slept on the floor for about a month before I got a mattress and box springs.

Sleeping bag. One ratted to 10 bellow. Use that as the matters/pad Covers on top.
Did that for about a week before my mattress got moved down.

Depending on your floor you might want to be on top of cardboard just to help smooth things out.
Even carpet can be lumpy.

My roommate said that his previous rommate spent a year sleeping on a damaged cot where he covered a hole with a headbord from another broken cot. Next year the former decided to nail the headbord to his cot and found that the latter didn't remove the nails and they were sticking up. He spent a year sleeping on sharp nails covered by a thin mattress.

Ah, university dorms...
