Feeling really low and I need commissions.
I still really need commissions to be honest.
Also feeling pretty low. Might delete this.
Dunno.
Just wish I could sell some stuff.
Don't understand how I have 1000+ watchers if I barely ever get commissions.
I even have a sale going right now. I doubt many people even read my journals.
maybe this isn't my niche? because I try and I try and I just.
*sigh*

Keep it up though, you'll get through this rough patch.
I have been trying to sell things too, so I can get money to buy more commissions (I love supporting people) and with over 100 followers on here and twitter, I can't even sell something for $5. So I know what its like, and I have been feeling down from it too.
But cheer up friend :)
Your art is gorgeous, and just because people aren't buying right now, doesn't mean they never will. Keep them open and I am sure they will come :)
(like me, as soon as I get my paycheck and pay rent)
1) Awesome!
2) Generally pretty damn low-income, so no matter how low the prices go, they generally don't end up opening their pockets
3) Pretty apathetic. I have a few clan members that were/are/were at risk of being homeless, and I opened up ads to get them donations from my clans of 500+ furries, and not a single person donated :V IT's not something to get upset over, it's just something to realize and handle, I guess.
And I see people jumping on other opportunities, but not for me for whatever reason.
I've realized it, and I'm handling it as well as I can.
It's pretty tough at this point. have 10 days to make money and skee-daddle to where i will be internet less and not able to make money.
Maybe make a price sheet and have that as your featured submission? Because for someone like me who comes across your gallery as potential customer, but isn't a regular watcher, and "thinks, yeah I might give this person a shot" not having an example sheet or easy to find price list with examples linked pretty well guarantees I just move on.
You want to make it as easy for folks to buy from you as possible.
I couldn't find any thing, and your profile is quite long, maybe just bold, all caps the heck out of it so it's the first and easiest thing people see when visiting your page? Since you are actively looking for more business.
BTW, sorry if I missed the price, but what if I wanted a sketch like the two tone sketches, which I really like, but with colour like the sketch head shot? The semi-transparent colour.
Also what about the two toned sketch, but with an additional character?
(and hello from your Atlantic Canada neighbour to the south, NS!)
So, I think I'll just get two of the two toned sketches.(if you wanted to do them in the same piece, go for it. If it's easier to do them seperately that's fine as well)
One of Det.(FIS) Duke McCormick and one of Det.(SOC) Adlai Miller
Here's Duke's detailed info, with his physical description and outfits/gear, etc.:

Here's Adlai's details:

Here's a tonne more of refs of these guys, plus some info on their gear:

So you can take a look and see how you'd like to draw them. Just standing around is fine, sometime people have Duke smoking, or working in the lab, etc,. Adlai is sometimes doing more actionish stuff, or looking a little shy. If you're stuck for ideas and browse through the DD gallery you can see that there's quite a few takes on style, activities and various levels of working or hanging out clothes.
I'm pretty open!
Maybe blue tones for Adlai and orangey tones for Duke?
And I understand if no WIP because this is a sketch commission. (couldn't find a TOS link either). Just one question though you do say: "YOU DO NOT have permission to POST MY WORK WITHOUT my PERMISSION." so I just want to check if it's okay to upload the finished stuff to the Different Drum archive account when it's done. If you look on the refs you see how I do it, with a link to the original submission and to the artist's page.
If you want to give me your paypal I'll have that money sent your way before I go to bed.
Yes you have permission to post it to your gallery, I'll reword the text on my profile, possibly soon and get a t.o.s. written up.
So, just to be clear. Do you want the two toned sketches exactly as they are but with the characters markings and colours?
Sorry if I wasn't clear. So two of the $7 two tone sketches, like you did with IP's character. So markings yes but simplified colour, like your example. I just suggested the blue for Adlai and oranges for Duke just as a thought, you can do what suits you.
Also, CND or US for paypal? If you'd like to in
...invoice me instead my paypal is en_dobson[at]yahoo.com
I just have to check over the written description again and be sure that I have a full understanding of the character!
I don't wanna make you pay for something I might not be able to properly depict. c x
I do usually ask that people have visual references ready, since I'm dyslexic and have another issue when it comes to reading, but I am willing to give it a go.
I'll test it out here, I'll probably not take anymore without full visual characters references however, because of my dyslexia and I don't wanna mess things up on customers.
(and again, that's info you need to have in your in TOS/commission info page or mention it right from the beginning)
