Will be moving to Illinois.

So I just got word that the first position I was looking at in Peoria, IL was a bust. The hiring manager obviously either was not impressed with my skill set or I said something during the phone interview that made them leery of offering me employment there. However, I got a call from someone else within the company that was practically BEGGING me to come to their site. So I accepted but the place is pretty small and it seems it will only be me and three other people at the site. Even my boss will only be on site for maybe 4 days out of the month tops.
Sadly though it seems its in a pretty rural area of the state called Sterling, IL. Now I am about 2 hours away from Peoria or Chicago so MFF looks to be in the cards. But now I am wondering if there is anybody close by to where I will be now. From all my research this place is going to be BORING!
Also, I am pretty heavy into tabletop RPG's like Pathfinder. Is there anyone close by there that might be running a game or something? I do not consider an hour trip to be that long of a commute so if your at least that close we should talk.

At the very least housing and cost of living should be pretty damn cheap.
Once, when I was desperate to stay on billable project work they asked for a volunteer to move to some $#^8hole town back east on the Mississippi for a damn that was being built. They wanted on site solidworks help and I was one of maybe half a dozen people in the company that knew the software. It sounded like an interesting project but it was in such a horribly economically dead and depressed area that even the engineer in charge said "wait.... he wants to come here?!" Thankfully something else came up and I was off the hook.
So Crosscheck, will you be at MFF this year? IF so then me and you have to sit down and really have a talk! I've been wanting to meet you face to face for some time now as you well know. Sadly I probably wont have my new suit done by that time...but maybe I will have Cryo finished if this new material I found works on his armor bits.
forget how close some old buds of mine are in taht region, or if they're even there any longer, but i'm sure you'll make some good friends in time for sure. :)
keep me opsted on how everything is out there once ya arrive! :D
Yeah I don't plan on going to Chicago all that often except for MFF. I think most of my trips will involve Peoria if anywhere.
Let me know if you ever want to hang out. It'd be great to properly meet ya :)
Whats up with the new job anyway man?
As for the job...I gotta wake up at 4am. So it's super!
