church and service dogs
This is quiet the update.
1) I got my service dog and he is now in back and forth training at the facility. Still need donations to help with the training of the dog but other than that I am handling things well
2) my mom has made it very clear she does not want people at the church they go to to know their "daughter" needs a service dog. And she wonders why I need a therapist. Let's forget the fact that she doesn't know I am a male. She is ashamed of me
.. plain and simple.
So I am going to another church with my dog now. See you in a few hours

My friend's name is Lucas but he was born with a female body. He's on hormone treatments and has had the top surgery done so far. He's also a body builder now and has always been masculine in everything he did because nothing else ever felt right. I actually met him because he was my personal trainer at the gym! I'm really happy for him because he met a really beautiful and accepting girlfriend who loved him when he was still a 'girl' and loves him now in his right body. It can be tricky fitting into life when you don't feel like you really did from the start but Lucas has made it work and he found getting to know people in the LGTB community around here has helped out a lot for support. Surprisingly though he didn't actually meet anyone else like himself until after he had the hormones and went through the hardships of finding acceptance within his family and friends. Of course he knew other people were trans and talked to people online, but meeting someone else who had the surgery already really helped him. He's lucky though because his whole family was just like 'yeah, we know' when he told them because he was always 'one of the guys' anyway, you know? Nothing else seemed so right.
Sorry if any of this is offensive or unwelcome, I'm just using him as an example to say I hope you find support through your family and friends and that no matter what they say you have to be true to yourself and I'm so happy you got your dog and I look forward to hearing about your journey!! <3
