Check to see what cord you need for your tablet. Depending on the socket, you can get other adapters to make it charge if it is a cord related problem (unless you want to do your own repairs). As long as it is the same voltage and amperage equal to or less than the charger you had, you should be fine. I replaced a weather radio cord that was a 9V, 500 mA charger with a 9V, 300 mA charger. It'll take longer to charge (if you know about RC circuits, you know why), but it will still work.
