McDonalds is a shitty job, but everyone knows that.

But it's true. Especially the one I went to for work.
I feel like this scene from Kung Pow sufficiently described my experience there.
You learn from web videos that you need 30 days of training and at the end of that training you get an evaluation.
-I get 3 days of training, with one being that day with the videos, no evaluation and was expected to understand everything.
You learn from web videos that you need to throw out product after it is done with its shelf life.
-When hands on, I am told that we don't do that here and just reset the timer. I hope you like dried out meat.
You learn that you need to wash your hands and change gloves every hour
-Not here you don't
Oh, but when it's inspection day everything you were told by the staff you have to disregard and do what the videos say.
Did I also mention that I never got to see all the videos because after 3 hours (my shift) I was told to go home so they don't have to pay overtime?
Best thing about this job was that even if I was getting a piss poor 3 hour shift two times a week, they would CUT that and wouldn't give me the full 3 hours.
I made about $190 this month. Who the fuck can live on that? Thank god I found an opportunity to leave and got myself a hopefully better job.
Other than that. How are you? I've got that comic to finish and it's already in the sketching phase. Almost to line. I'll be getting more hours on this job so I don't know how much that will cut into my time on this. I feel bad that this is taking way too fucking long but this summer was very bad and changes had to be made.

Your post is pretty damned accurate to my experience, aside from one overly-chipper trainer saying "if you have time to lean, you have time to clean" and meant for me to literally wipe the same spot over and over again because they had so many fucking people jammed back there in the tiny area that there were people like me who were stuck with nothing to do and nowhere to move.
Just thinking about that insanely hectic, disorganized, dangerous, cramped job again is starting to freak me out again .-.
