Also audiophile headphones is an issue for me. It all started with "yeah I'll get maybe a pair of these $80 headphones". And then some $150 ones. And then $250 ones. And now you need an external amplifier and DAC and now you're budgeting out a pair of $400 headphones wondering where you went wrong :P

Steam games definitely, I can't help but buy everything when it's on sale like "oh that would be fun to play" (in some alternate reality where I actually play the games I buy)

Collect SNES games. It's getting harder and harder to get the rare ones.

(And i tought i read what hobby gives you more "experience" the more you go. I tought of homemade, card game crafting. Since we don't usually have a lot of money, we try to copycat some of the easiest ones.)

Also Buy some art and Steam games when i have the chance.

Warhammer 40k is expensive as all hell. Ebay saves my friends a ton of money. I haven't bought anything personally, my friend bought me my first set of miniatures as well as my first (and only) Codex

Trying to get my car fixed, I keep putting off taking it to an actual mechanic in favor of turning it into a project with a friend of mine. Unfortunately it's getting more and more pricey, so come Sunday I'm just gonna haul it off and take it to the dealership.

Used to be buying Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I don't have any hobbies that require buying stuff constantly anymore, wallet can't handle it :P

Yugioh. Yugioh, more Yugioh. That and collecting pokémon plushies.

Dropped ~$2,000 on this game already, haven't even looked at artists for the characters yet.

Uh, would "video games" as a hobby count? I swear there are multiple titles coming out within barely a few weeks of each other and I don't have a lot of spare money for it >.>;

Model Rocketry, definitely. Especially if you want to get into the high-power range.

You have to buy engines, wadding, plugs, etc. Not to mention the cost of driving to an area to safely launch them. (1,500ft is usually the max, then you have to schedule it with the FAA. It's lower if you're around airports, military bases, etc. etc.) It get's even scarier and costly if you want H class engines and above, which have to be custom made. There are some that are border-line actual missile engines.

All in all, if you want to follow model rocketry, you're going to run into some pretty hefty costs over time.

I'd say buying art, but idk if that counts. Video Games certainly racks up a larger expense
