Things are getting better...slowly

Cars & phones - terrible luck!!
Still had some bad luck with a few things. My one laptop (that I'm still paying off) and one of my desktops that got fried by a surge.. insurance won't cover them coz they say I can claim from the municipality - no such luck! We've since cancelled with Auto & General after our 5th refused claim in a row (including the flooding). On new years day I landed up sitting with 2 broken down cars - still saving up for the one, the other's alternator packed up :/ Thankfully I have friends that care, got driven around and taken out for parties and movies while I was car-less :)
So I get that car fixed, then get my Ford back, which broke down ON THE WAY back from the mechanic - been sitting so long that oil clogged the pickup - engine ran dry. After a week of more expensive repairs, I get the car back on a Friday, so excited that I went out and got a new sound system, then reinstalled it myself coz they wanted R750 to rewire my car (thieves did damage to all the wiring when stealing my last system). Then 4 days later the cambelt snapped!! And now the other car is giving hassles too...I'll have spent over R10,000 in car repairs in one month!!!
On the bright side..
Christmas was pretty cool...got a husky plushie (funny story), braai set, framed wolf pic, and other odds and ends and some cash. In general work has actually been going great this year so far! I've had tons of hardware sales and websites to design :D So yeah, things are coming right...and I finally got the phone I wanted, P990i (the nokia E90 is STILL awaiting spares for repairs), and I'm back on track with financials mostly, except for saving up for my car..again :p Hope to have both cars sorted in the next week or two.
On the down-side it does look like I'm single again, though I can blame most of it on all that's happened in the past month.. she and I have both been through really stressful times recently. It's probably better this way for now anyway until my life is completely on track again...
