The 24 Hour Comic Day - Streaming Sat. Oct. 4th!
Hey all!
For the first time I'll be participating the The 24 Hour Comic Challenge (see the official site: http://www.24hourcomicsday.com/)
What is it? It's a 24 page comic done in a 24 hour period. No breaks, no time outs... just pumping out a comic for 24 consecutive hours.
The rules are simple, you have 24 hours to come up with and draw a whole story. There is NO thinking about the story, characters, etc beforehand and have it done within the time frame!
For portions of the day (this Saturday, Oct 4th) I will be streaming my work on the comic! I'm not sure when I'll be streaming (hopefully a LOT), so be sure to pay attention to my Twitter https://twitter.com/SophieCabra for announcements of when the streams with start and end!
Also, bookmark my streaming page! http://www.livestream.com/sophiecabra
While I won't really be able to chat on the LS chat tomorrow, I do hope you will all come by, say hi, and see what is going on with my challenge's progress. Thank you all so much for supporting me. :)

I found it was quite a challenge, even up to the 23.5 hour mark. I was quite surprised how hard that last hour was, when the end was so close, yet still I started to choke.
Get food laid out, pace yourself. I'd advise against streaming, but since it's likely to encourage you it's probably a positive. However, I'm assuming this is something you do a lot, and it works perfectly each time. Because if it doesn't you lose time fiddling with technical things.
Also, and a friend of mine did this, blasting out 24 pages of something and saying "I'm done", doesn't count. You have to produce for the full 24 hours. That's where you're really meet whatever demons lurk in your subconscious. When there is no one.
I had a friend come by periodically and pick up my work and scan it. I'm still immensely proud of finishing. Pacing, really is the key. Before I attempted it, I practiced to determine exactly what I could expect to produce in an hour. I didn't want to deviate into distracting perfectionism.
