Rabblerabblerabble... my dreams are weird.

Taking the utmost care, she cradled the perfect, golden little clock-work heart in her hand.
Everything must go perfectly... nothing can be amiss or I've lost it all...
She studied the figure on the low, stainless steel table.
Male, finely sculpted body, and nude.
Modesty preserved with a pristine white cloth.
All the blood had long since been cleared off, anything else was being cycled back into the body through the gaping hole where the chest, for now, still held an ordinary, beating, human heart.
Again, she glanced at the golden one in her hand, then fleetingly to the obsidian dagger in her other, enchanted with the oldest of animation and reincarnation spells. Intended to animate the golden heart, and reincarnate the body once the final cut had been made. To sever the human heart would kill the body... the enchantments were to keep it from truly dying. At least that was the hope.
Stilling a shudder, she fought the urge to grip the golden heart tightly to her, fought the urge to scream, to cry out her fears and worries, fought the urge to do what had to be done fast, JUST to get it done with so she'd know if it would work or not.
Fool! Be hasty, and it WONT work, and all WILL be lost!
Shaking her head and chiding herself for being hasty, she lay the golden heart on a small cloth beside his body.
Steeling herself, she lifted the dagger above the body, handle held between both hands. Cold at first, it quickly heated with the body heat from her hands.
Closing her eyes, she sent a silent prayer to Any One Listening before she started the incantations.
A small tear trickled from the corner of her eye as the blade flashed downwards.
