Did you update it? If you can't, is it because you're on WinXP?

I was getting the same thing, I had to reinstall it to get it to work again

I had a similar problem with Skype a year ago, except that situation I had is Skype is taking for too long to log in. I tried reinstalling it, but no dice.

Thankfully I had help with someone in here how to fix this problem, but it won't be easy. The only way to use Skype again is use the downgrade versions.
