Would instrumentals from Hollywood Undead music work? They have some fast paced songs, such as "Sell Your Soul," "Been to Hell," and "From the Ground."

Unfortunately no. While they do sound like something you would see in a horror movie, I need something that sounds a little scarier.

Hmm, I don't know actually since I'm not all too familiar with Creepypastas. However my friend  red_pyramid206 is.

Might I suggest a few of the youtube creepypasta videos like Marble Hornets, or Whispered Faith.

I'm worried that if I use those I may be more likely to get into copyright issues.

In terms of music, I would go for the stuff of Cloroform and Kaada/Patton, particularly the songs crepuscule, and Pensee des Morts on the latter's album, Romances. Some tracks off the album Bucketheadland by Buckethead scare the fuck out of me, particularly Haunted Farm. Fantomas did a cool cover of the theme from Rosemary's Baby that has that really crushingly dark sound. Merzbow is a noise artist that does really interesting work, his album Venereology is a harder, more death metal sound, and he did an Album with Alec Empire that's slightly more melodic.

COIL also does some more frightening and ambient work. for more homegrown,  blackantlers has a band that does really neat dark and industrial work.
