This may not help much but I am sure many people would love to commission you. Mistakes and all. I know I would like to.

I already opened for commissions back in June-July, (for one week or so) and I had almost no interest in it, maybe because I don't have any price sheet, tho I managed to write and put examples for many different styles with prices.
Eitherway, someone got interested, but wanted something with a human character involved, I said ok as it was the only person who wanted to pay for my art, and I offered the pic to be a first person view of the human character as I'm not good with the entire anatomy... now here is when problems started, I worked for 5 hours on the first sketch for approval, and it looked bad, I had to start a new one and I offered him that, some things had to be improved but the "idea" was ok. He approved it... so I start working.. and then again, I can't progress because REASONS, I worked on sketches for around 10 hours and I had no progression :/... as last chance I started something new, different of what I offered to him, and with the help from Velannal as im bad at human body, pic looks better but it's not what I offered, so now, I'm still waiting for him to approve it, or ill refund him 100% of what he paid

But see?, this is a great problem for me, someone wants something from me, "Hey I want my dragon roaring and being all badass!" and I offer him his dragon sleeping :I
One solution I have for this, is working on a very well refined pic with shading for approval, (when I manage to do something like that, I can work just fine for detailing, coloring and everything else) if person likes it, payment can be done... but if the person doesnt like it, it will be over 3-5 hours of work lost for nothing..

Anyway I'll see what happens when I open again lol

I'll keep an eye out then since I have a very laissez-faire attitude toward art I get. After all, seeing what the artist comes up with is half the fun.

For example this piece actually started as a quick pwyw stream sketch... that turned into something like seven hours spanning two artists. I gave nothing but a ref sheet and a have fun and out pops this.

Or this piece that started as a normal commission description. The artist was interested in why part of the piece must look a certain way and after a bit of back and forth turned into me writing a 2-3 page mini history about my little world. When I got the piece back the artist had scrapped most of my commission idea except the very core of it and created a new piece pulled from the mini history.

It probably isn't particularly helpful anyways, but when I look at your gallery... holy sheet of a paper, that is some really amazing art. And the way your draw landscapes in particular is nothing short of awesome. Drawign characters is fine, but getting the rest of a scenery right... that's something you don't see that often, especially not in such a detail'n'stuffs.

Apart from that: I hear it from just about any artist they don't like their art either way. And someone else told me that's good, because that means they will try and keep improving.

Just art rage, what you said to me is what I tell to everyone and why they never should quit, but then I get stuck with the same things all the time, I cant finish anything except 1 - 2 pics each month (where i would like at least finish one every 3 days, considering I sit and I draw for over 5 hours in a day) but those lil problems and mistakes that always appear, screw everything, and it's not fun

I once read somewhere, from another artist's page, that another artist told them: "Shut up and draw". Seems to have worked out well, heh.
