I think art packs (portfolios?) would take a long time for you, if you're looking for quick bucks, haha. Maybe try adoptables for a bit, do some cookie-cutters and have fun with that, or go with the auction TF thingy?

I would just try to look at things that won't hugely impact what you owe at the moment, and set yourself up for what can be done after your current plate. If that makes sense, haha. Not trying to be rude, but I think you'd be less stressed as you chew through current things, rather than piling it all up and backlogging other projects. Easier said than done, of course.

If I did the art pack thing, I'd be working on it over the weekend as I do most of my personal art projects. It would take awhile for me to finish probably, if I make it really fancy and all that, or I'd just do it as a quick sketch pack and offer it for cheap to test the waters. Either way it probably wouldn't happen until near the end of the month, hahah.

I'll see if I can whip up some adoptables this weekend and if that doesn't work out, I'll try out the TF auction if it lands any more interest! Thank you much ♥

If it makes you feel better. I charge 475$ to replace one end brakes. When i do it i replace the rotors and pads. I also pack the bearings if applicable. I also use a motive machine to do a complete brake fluid bleed front and rear. The price you mention should include these things. If it does then its not to far off from what a shop typically charges for doing brakes on two wheels. The reason its not just a cheap pad swap is because shops do not want to be held liable for any problems that may come from doing just a pad swap. Brakes are a very important part of your car im sure you know ;3

I know I need my brakes but the reason I'm so upset about is because I've tried telling them for months now that they've been making really nasty grinding noises and they always blew it off as a change of season/rain-related thing, and because of that, it's worse now than it probably would have been months ago.

They had to replace my shoes, drums, hardware kit, AND cylinders so yeah...

They would ha e wanted to do them all then or now is all im saying. Because of liability were something hey didnt change to fail after you leave. You could say that since they left your car in an unsafe state after working on it. That they are in trouble now when the brakes fail and you get in an accident.


Basically im saying even though you told them before. Had you insisted back then you would have had to replace all that stuff anyway because shops wont mess around when it comes to brakes.

I would consider doing a donation funded comic (x amount of dollar requirement before you even consider arting the next page, tho whole thing should be pre-written/planned to avoid stumping yourself yeeee) or a ych auction for that lab rat thing you mentioned. or some sorta BOTH woahhh. donation funded comic would be a better SHORT TERM solution I think overall, patreon-funded ANYTHING feels like a bigger art commitment than trying to make a certain amount for a certain event if ya get me. b-but to be fair I'm just not huge on people doing art patreons just for the sake of being an artist so I might be hella biased hahah!

I haven't honestly been able to decide how I feel about patreon; sometimes it seems like a FANTASTIC idea but other times I feel really wary, not to mention I'm bad at arting consistently so... 8Ic Sticking to the usual and trying this comic thing is probably a better alternative, yeah! from my one experience with donation comics I found it INCREDIBLY chill compared to general commission work; YOU get to pick the characters and theme and ideas, and you get to define all the parameters. and if shit doesnt work out for any reason, every page can be considered an exit point; lack of funding means you can just drop the idea and commitment entirely, or if you lose interest you can cut off the donation link/funding and just finish off the last page paid for. o-of course the second scenario isn't IDEAL hhahah but it's better than creating backlog with money you're probably going to spend immediately in this case. tho it IS a gamble considering I believe paypal isn't huge on doodle porn funding and can trace links to source if they decide to snoop yer account for any reason hhhh, so it's a toss up really! plus I generally make sketchy comics on the fly, so my perspective might be a lil different @v@

ggguh patreon is. I dunno. I think it's a super cool idea, and I think it's amazing for supporting PROJECTS. like an ongoing comic is a project, or a game, or a cartoon, or something like that. I think using patreon just to support -you- as a person/artist just drawing things is counter intuitive for both the patrons AND the artist, but I dunnoo hhh. probably not the most popular opinion, I kinda feel like an ornery old man saying it hahah!

But okay yeah, that's exactly how I felt; I worried I'd be cheating people if I had any bad art blocks, but I don't want to charge per illustration either in case I have a good moment where I'm getting a TON OF STUFF DONE, so yeah. Hmm that really blows nothing but problems with cars left and right.

From what i have seen so far YCHs can really rack up a huge sum quickly however you do need a certain popufurrity for that so theres always the chanfe that it may backfire and you just end up with another commission simply cuz you didnt manage hitting your fanbases sweet spot.... so theres a general risk at that.

I have no experience with art packs for all i know they got most people involving paypal get banned. So you would might have to do some research on how to make that work.

All in all i personally would almost recommend doing a ych cuz you seem to havea more or less tight fanbase.
