Actually, it closed when the 7th hit, but I was asleep, and then had to work.
With no competition to vie for the win,
PostalRoo's entry (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14688275/) has taken the winning spot, and he gets the first-place reward of a $100 commission from the artist of his choice, or $100 worth of Steam content.
I'll ask the judges to write up critiques of the submission, and send those to me via Note. Feedback is always a good thing, even if the contest was won by the only entry. It might help to get some from judgment officials for the next time a contest is participated in.
I will likely be waiting a month or so for another contest run. If you have any contest theme ideas, feel free to Note them my way, or leave a comment here!

Actually, I feel kind of bad I was the only entrant, as this was a really cool starting idea for the contest series, and I would have liked to have seen more transformations.
I hope the next one gets better exposure to artists in general. Journals just might not be enough to get the right attention.
