I honestly don't think its a failure. Even still, that's all the more reason to practice if you feel your skills aren't up to par. They won't improve when you don't do them and honestly you got alot of things going for you.

Well, figure drawing isn't easy. You've broken free of alot of the shackles that plague some artists and try things a different angles and poses. Perspective isn't an easy thing especially given little context to show such. That coupled along with you applying some rather unrealistic proportions to such figures does make it more of a challenge to make this noticeable as well.

Then tact on you doing different characters, which isn't easy to do for most either, especially given the combined elements. The fact you have made some notable progress in these fields however shows that you got the capabilities to improve on them even further as you grasped such.
Yes, there is room for improvement, but thats the thing about art. There always will be and thats part of the growing experience.

Huh. I didn't realized you saw all of that, interesting. Well thats good then, I've been kinda having burnout from working so hard on a bunch of sketches per day and I think its finally catching upto me.

I figured the unrealistic proportions would make it seem like I was taking the easy way out but huh, I never thought of it like that before. I certainly hope I have the capabilities, after all theres something I've been wanting to do for years now and its because of my lack of skill that I haven't been able to work on it yet.

Yeah its just that I tried to draw one of my OCs that I never have done before and I royally screwed up. Its the first time so maybe I'm being too hard on myself? And yeah you're right, I want to learn and yes grow hehe ^.=.^

I felt the same way when I first started doing digital drawings. Your art looks good, and it can only get better if you keep practicing!! Don't give up hope yet, and with patience you'll see improvement~

I'm trying to have patience with myself its just that I have a bit of a personality quirk. I tend to adopt this perfectionist attutude about my work and it needs to be spot on professional, even thought it was just 5 months ago that I really picked up on my practicing (19 hours a week)

Perhaps I shouldn't give up then, I just want to make the best things that I can and actually have a talent

And that's all you can ask yourself to do! Just don't beat yourself up too much if you're getting frustrated over a few small details. I do know the feeling of trying to get everything as perfect as possible.

And yes, don't give up! Everything will get better with time, and although I can't personally make any guarantees just stick with it and hopefully you'll notice a change ^^
