Hmm Avatar Help?

Basically what the title says.. Working on a scribble sketch of an avatar I'd like help making..
I know there are FAR more capable and knowledgeable people on here who know where to get parts and pieces and bits.. and stuff..
I have this mental image I'd love to construct of a bulky, muscle-ish?... Reptilian humanoid of sorts and perhaps some folks have ideas. I been thinking of making this character for awhile and it's about time I get started..
First thing's first. The sketch, working on it now, but I have a hard time sticking with a reptilian/dragon-like head?.. Or going with a more human face.
I'd like it to be mesh for the most part.
What I want is stupidly simple.. if I could make the mesh body myself.. but seeing as I can't even figure out any programs I'm kinda at a loss.. I'll have to do it the hard way, via modding parts together and making a custom texture set for it.
Anyone know friendly folks with some patience willing to help me out?

I'm trying to build a very.. stalky.. character and it's proving to be a pain in the ass when window shopping around lookin for parts. :<
Almost done my shitty rough sketch, but I'll put a link in here after I submit it. Maybe a visual will help anyone with suggestions -.-
I'd be happy just getting a custom body made and the UV/shading stuff honestly.. but yeah.. Most people I've asked? Never reply. Kinda bothers me when I get the vibe of ' I don't have the time of day for you'.. SL has changed from being very open to very.. closed and exclusive anymore... but I still have hope there are some folks out there who could take pity on me haha.
I always say.. can't hurt to ask! Worst they can say is 'no thanks!'.. it just is rude to just ignore..
Well.. shouldn't say 'if'.. because it will get done. Just means I need to settle and discuss bizniz with a few folks and then determine cost to myself, what will be invested.. and things like that. IT will be wiiicked.
