YCH auction reminder and stories about art gifts *__*
11 years ago
Hey, I'm running YCH auction with cute tentacle monster, and today is the last day for bidding:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14720488/ (last bid is still not super high so you may check it!)
Halloween! Tentacles! Fun!
Auction ends
2014.10.14 21:00 (Tuesday) GMT + 4.00
And I suggest to share stories, positive and negative, about art gifts (drawn by you or commissions from others). Maybe, somebody liked character design by you and made it his/her fursona design? Or you made gift to your best friend and he/she didn't like it. Do you like to draw gifts, or had negative experience with popular artists? I want to hear your stories. ^^

I'm always super happy when someone likes my characters enough to draw them for free! It makes me very happy and I always thank the artist and try my best to compliment them/advertise their work.
I (fortunately) haven't had any real bad experiences with artists, but maybe that's because I'm a very patient commissioner. I've had commissions take more than a year before and as long as the artist stays in contact, I'm totally okay with it because I understand life crap happens.
I still have drawings from you. >:D I was very happy to get them!
And I often sent money as gifts. Just because I wanted to pay fees for artists. Later, I was afraid they would have troubles because of many gift payments, and started to send money for services, but a bit more, to cover fees.
If you had really bad experience, you can share in this community: http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/
