The FA attack and results

as you know FA and other furry sites suffered a DDoD attack. These attacks and the downtime have got me thinking about where I am and if I want to be in the fandom or not. I liked a lot of the fandom, but its loosing its taste. Everything is growing samey in the writing with a lot of pulpy silly stuff or just boring samey things like Transformation, inflation and other niche stories which should have burnt themselves out years ago; there's only so many times you can tell the exact same story over and over. Sometimes its the result of just so many people writing and it happens to be alike, but often you get whole galleries full of the same writing....and that's so boring.
If every scenario and character is the same, why even bother reading them? We'd have no connection to the characters and wouldn't care what happens to them?
So honestly my feelings on FA and the fandom are on the fence. I'm also frequenting Weasyl more, though I never get any feedback from my writing there, only thing I got was a pair of ghost favourites
If FA is to survive it needs to up its game. Update itself and listen to the audiences.

but I'd feel a little bad showing some of my watchers away
DA does seem interesting, but scary as well
that and the email issue still needs to be solved
I don't think you have to shoo anyone away if you do, just respect other points of view that they could have, I hope you clear your mind about it, I wouldn't like you to simply go away without trying to give yourself a chance to find what you are interested in .
and about shooing people away, sadly I have had to shoo some away as they become aggressive and ready to lash out :o
You're onto something.
Though what i wanted to say abou always reading the same thing. There is only so much you can do new things, be it stories, pictures and games and there comes a time when you can't do new stuff, but only repeat already existing content.
I wish people would stop being so needlessly cruel sometimes.
there are cases (mostly vore or extreme TF cases) like this:
"Oh look a stupid human, you must be punished because you are a human and duuuuuuuuuuuh"
I just hate meaningless cruelty and hardships.
also I am still getting bored of the furry fandom. A part of me wants to leave it
And you are the only one who can decide if you leave FA or not. But what do you thinkvof taking abrest from the fandom first before leaving it directly?
