Post site-outage and NEW TABLET!!!!!!!!!!
Hello fellow furs, it's been a while since i did a simple, leazure journal... so i decided to do one with a couple of key notes in life.
First: the site outage.
OK, so the site's up and running again thanks to the boffins at the FA HQ working around the clock to fix the damage done by the attacks on the site (Thank you guys so much for being committed!). I've been a bit worried about the aftermath of the site and without out the knowledge of the cause and effect it would have, I'm very relieved to see that the site is just fine and looking great as ever with the community back in full swing, including me.
Second: Brand Spankin' NEW DRAWING TABLET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the more personal part of the journal, I recently have done allnighter work with my father on some projects revolving around a local college's media studio stage and backdrop. The work accumulated around $100 for me, with that, and some other work, I got enough to get myself a Wacom Intuos Pen and touch tablet (the medium one). I am soooo PUMPED to finally have it... just a few issues though. It "requires" Vista, windows 7, etc. to operate properly, so I tried to use it the laptop in my room. it loaded all the necessary software, but when i plugged in the tablet itself... it would not recognize it at all... PERIOD. another problem comes with me having to use it with the computer in the dining room that has XP on it, it works but crudely. The pen has no touch sense, the touch gestures are ineffective, and whenever you left the pen away from the pad, it "clicks" the screen and holds it until the pen touches it again (really annoying when your drawing and stuff). Other than those pesky drawbacks, It is AWESOME! and only $200 for anyone whos looking for a good drawing tool for their computer.
I would also like to point out that I will be trying to do more art in my spare time over the coming months (don't expect anything to be commission worthy).
