Found this really great thing on Facebook and I recommend checking it out: https://stacksocial.com/sales/the-n.....design-bundle#
I've already looked at the "Get Schooled: Professional Video Game Art School" lessons. I'm up to lesson 25 and I'm quite pleased with the quality. I went to school for Game Design and I'm already learning things through these basic videos that I didn't learn in school (It wasn't a very good school, but still)... Considering that this is PWYW, I think it's an incredible opportunity for those looking to get into learning modelling, texturing, rigging or game development.
I'm no expert, and still learning myself, but from what I can tell, this one course can be very useful for those who don't have the time, money or opportunity to attend a "real" school, or those who just have a casual interest. I'm looking forward to checking out the other 3. Please do take a look!
EDIT: I should mention that these courses can be done at your pace and you have lifetime access! That part is important for me, as I am not good at completing something within a time frame. No constraints here!
EDIT2: If you're not interested, there's no need to comment???? Thanks :U

What happened to that idea or am I thinking of another fa user altogether?
Now that I think about it, I did promote a friend who was teaching people for free.
it IS an area that interests me. though i've ended up pretty much concentrating on the modeling, and that mostly not of life form characters.
i'll never give up on animation nor game design though. one of these days i'll get around to actually learning how to composite footage of my physical models with my cg ones. and or my own world/infrastructure sims. only so many things i can get through my old thick head at a time though.
all such links are of course potentially useful. (that means thanks for them)
Unfortunately they have no samples(That i could find.)
I read through the descriptions and am curious on WHY the hand painting courses switch from their original 3Ds max over to Maya. That honestly makes no sense to me personally. If they recommend maya which is pretty much the same thing as max...Just preferred in my opinion. Why not use one program in ALL of it be it maya or max? :/
I would be interested in these if they were actually in par with each other, but it defiantly looks like a good program.
:D Good luck!
I've worked with Unity pretty much all through high school and even had to make a couple of games, so it shouldn't be too hard to pick it up again. I used to be in an academy for video game design, but switched to English because I sucked at the coding. It'll be good for me to get back into designing, especially since I've been working on a few storyboards lately.
