Hmm, not to me Night, my fursona has always been a representation of a lot of aspects about me, maybe just cause there's something about him you don't like?

I say go for it! If you think that your sona isn't you then my guess is that its not you. You should experiment with new looks and see witch one is you.

Lol, my fursona doesn't really has to be exactly similar..Riz and Marm here isn't really like meh lol..And they're more like split alter egos with some extra personalities/qualities that I admire/want :P..Well, IMO, just go with what you like+feel~ Have fun! :D

i spent a lot of time soul searching to know what my fursona would be. me, kemthis, is a dragon based chimera. i won't go into all the details of why because i don't want to use your journal to write an essay. i just want to say that there is a great deal about me that matches with the from i represent myself with.

i did in the past, have a hard time figuring out what i was. it was one of the harder things that i've done. then i realized why i liked the name i chose so much as my alias. zelgadis is a chimera and has a great deal of regrets (talking about the anime character). he dosn't stop doing what he strives for though and that is what i go for. dedication to my goal.

if you feel that you are not you fersona, then do some soul searching. see if your concept matches the way you are inside. that's what it's about for me.

I can only say that you choose whichever describes you INSIDE, not on the OUTSIDE.
Or listen to whatever people want you to be, otherwise you won't like what you choose.

A lot of folks have commented in your journals that you'd make quite a bear. Maybe you could have someone design you a hybrid?

My fursona kindof is me. I was a generic horse then I had 3 people tell me "you remind me of a Frisian" then I got the chance to work around them and personality yes. Looks not so much. Mentally I would say my fursona is me. Sadly physically not so much

well it's easy ta feel that way cause usually fursonas are not only the personification of our own atributes but those we'd like ta have... an that oftentimes gives them a life all their own...

easy enough ta think yer fursona isn't like what you'd be like after awhile with those qualities... wether it sometimes turns better or worse than how you would be given the way things go with such aspects... it does give ya insight though as ta how you yerself might be like with the qualities of yer fursona.

there is no question to my equine nature....even my alternate characters all all equine.

I have had thought like that myself, but mostly because I've never really had a very good idea as to my character as a person. Especially over the last few years, my illusiions of the kinda person I have been have pretty much shattered, so I've been often sifting through trying to figure out what's actually me, and what's what I wanted to be but wasn't

So yeah, from time to time.

I think above all you should be true to yourself, if you don't feel it, then you should find what will.

A fursona is just a facet of your own persona. Certain ties of your persona won't match your fursona and vice versa as the fursona is just an exagerated part of you.
