Some custom species are cool but a lot of the time it's a weird thing that's a mix of two existing things with a bizarre name. Things like 'folf' come to mind.

at least mixes make actual sense, cool, its a hybrid, we already have ligons and żubrońs and llamels, i can let it slide
im talking about stuff like "this is my new species *presents a sheet of humans with horns/humans with longer torsos/humans with a jewel in their foreheads/human with long bunny ears*"
