Hey all!!
It's starting to get colder, and I love making things, so I want to open up commissions for blankets.
These aren't little baby blankets, I am talking about hand sewn, two layered super soft fleece blankets that will cover you up and keep you warm in those cold winter months.
What you will get will be a fleece blanket, I will work with you on what design you want for the top, and the bottom will be a solid color fleece of a similar color so it will match.
The size will differ depending on the width of the fabric, but it will be somewhere between 54x54 and 60x60.
The base price is $50 plus shipping. I am more than willing to work with you when it comes to design and size, so if the fabric is expensive, or if the blanket is larger, the price may go up a bit.
2 years ago I made 2 matching blankets for myself and
tigeristiger from a light blue fleece with frogs on it and a light blue fleece for the bottom layer. we both still have them, they have no tears or seam rips and are in perfect condition.
Here is a close up picture of the blanket, showing the underside a bit as well so you can see what I mean by a matching underside. You can see that is still looks great for being 2 years old.

Since it is fleece it is totally machine washable as well.
This will make a great gift for a friend or family member, or something for you to keep yourself warm as the temperature starts to drop.

The blanket would be about 60x72.
They only let me order in full yard lengths, so I have to make it 2 yards instead of 1.5, but that means that the fabric is a bit more. With the fabric and shipping its $30 by itself. Plus I have to get some thread.
If... I could, because of the larger size, could I ask for $60? I'm sorry I have to ask, but between the fabric and it being hand sewn (which takes hours) it's a lot of work.

So, should I go ahead and get the fabric then, as it will be 3-7 business days to get it? You are sure you will be okay in a couple of weeks to send it? I know things have been a bit tight there..
Why don't we make it $65 and that will include shipping and if its more than 5 bucks to ship I will cover that. :)
Maybe you can teach me how to quilt one day??
The fabric is ordered. I think it said 3-7 business days. I have a friend coming in from out of town between Oct 31 and Nov 9, so if the fabric comes then, it may be a couple days before I start it, but it shouldn't take too long to make, since I am home all day I can work on it as I watch TV LOL
