Sona Halloween costume choice IMPOSSIBRU!
General
So even though I myself haven't dressed up and/or gone trick-or-treating in several years, it's become a sort of tradition to at least assign a Halloween costume for my sona in recent years.
Most of you probably remember this pic where I dressed up as Fox McCloud a few years back: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6787485 (on the bottom right)
And last year, although there was no visual evidence, in RPs I donned the attire of furry Tom Sawyer's Huck Finn for Halloween: http://playrific.com/images/media/a.....87174_7105.png (on the left)
Usually, the choice is very simple for me.
Most of the time, one thing would stand out a lot more than others that year, and I would take from that.
This year, though, like FOUR things stood out.
And as a result, I am having the hardest time deciding what my sona's costume will be.
This is likely the smallest / least important decision, as it probably won't even be put into a pic and might only show up in one or two RPs.
But because I'm weird, I am creepily obsessed with figuring this out.
So, I'm going to briefly run through the different outstanding sources of inspiration for me this year, and you're gonna put up with it X3
I'll try to go in chronological order of when they motivated me.
1. Guardians of the Galaxy
BEST MARVEL MOVIE EVER and ROCKET RACCOON. Do I need to say more?
Naturally I would pick Rocket Raccoon here, but what's keeping me from it is the fact that many others have done it with their own sonas. There might also be a couple of others within my friend circle that would do the same, but I at least know there's one who would want Groot instead and another that would likely be Star Lord >#>
Unfortunately, since this came first, the hype has kind of died down for me anyway.
2. Five Nights at Freddy's
Again, this has been a HUGE phenomenon that has brought tons of inspiration for many people on these sites.
While it would make the most sense for me to pick Foxy to dress up as, I'd generally be okay with donning any of the animatronics, with the exception of Chica. Again, however, this is a thing that way too many other people are doing, even more-so than Guardians probably. And on top of that, at least a couple of people within my own friends circle may take up these positions.
Hype's still strong for this one, though, as I just did a playthrough for my YouTube channel.
3. Bleach
I've been a fan of this series for quite a while now, and as I watch it on Toonami rather than online or anywhere else, I'm getting a little emotional about the anime ending this coming Saturday. I know the manga is still ongoing, and I do plan to continue with it, but still.
I like many characters from the series, but none of them more than the captain of Squad 7, Sajin Komamura. This outfit makes a lot of sense, as it's the persona I've donned for my YouTube channel. What's stopping me though is that, since the series has been around for a while, the desire here isn't as strong as with the others.
4. DIGIMON
Here's the wild card of the list. That journal I made recently about my favorite regression scenes required me to look up the first Digimon movie again, and as a result of watching it, I'm addicted to Digimon again. I'm already planning on watching the second Digimon movie, get my card collection back via amazon, and maybe even buy the brand new Digimon game that's coming out on PS3 on November 11. I've also started watching the television series again from the beginning. I've only watched the first three episodes so far, but I'm continuing. This is more than what I did the last time I reviewed the first Digimon movie, in which case I only watched the first episode in the series and did a piece of art about the nostalgia I got from it. So, it doesn't seem like it's going away this time.
Narrowing the vast selection from this source down to a single Digimon, I would most likely be Flamedramon, the Fire of Courage! Within my friends circle, knowledge of the Digimon series is almost exclusively mine, and therefore it's kind of special and something that I now cling to as a way of getting back at my friends for talking about things that I don't know X3
This rekindling has only occurred within the last couple of weeks, and therefore I see it as kind of unfair to pick this and miss the opportunity to be something more modern and pop culture driven. I mean who the hell's into Digimon anymore anyway? X3
Another reason is that slapping the pieces of armor onto my main fox sona makes me picture really awkward images, and basically I'm not sure it would work out if it was ever put into art ^^;
WHAT DO I DOOOOO??? x.x
