Anithian Legends: Halloween Special Part 2

"How can something so enticing..."
"Proximity warning, planet ahead!" I was awoken by the Autopilot's alert. I took control of the cruiser, slowing my speed as I approached the planet's surface. I began to engage the landing gear. "Another smooth and simple landing." I muttered to myself. I couldn't've been more wrong. The landing gear suddenly jammed, and I was coming in way to fast to land safely without it, I pulled up on the handles in attempt to slow my decent, but the controls wouldn't respond. It's as if something had taken control of my cruiser. "Impact in 300 feet!" And alert came on, I tried to lower the output of the thrusters but to no avail. "Impact in 150 feet!" I had no choice, I prepared the ejection seat protocol, bu the hatch refused to open. "I can't let it all end here, not like this!" I said trying to kick the hatch open! "Impact in 50 feet!" I managed to finally force the hatch open, of course, by now, I knew the ejection seat wasn't going to work. I quickly climbed out and onto the back of the hull, and made a leap for the nearest dead tree, catching on to it's branches and hang as I watch my cruiser crash and skid along the murky ground as it sunk in. "Well, there goes 650,000 Glist... and my way home." The branch I was hanging from began to creak and crack, before finally snapping and plopping me down onto the muddy surface of the planet. "Ewww! Gross!" I quickly got up. "I hope this mansion at least has haunted showers..." I trudged along, shivering. Maliks surface was a cold, vast swampland, it was constanly raining and Xios's light never reached through the thick clouds. It would be pitch-black if it wasn't for Dakmos, the largest and closest of Malik's three moons. Unlike Feri and Kamu, Malik's other moons, Dakmos was made of a highly valuable and reflective metal. Making it the brightest object in the Illusia system next to Xios. If there was a way to obtain just a tiny piece of Dakmos' surface material, one could be rich, and I'm not talking millions rich, I'm talking trillions rich. But such a feat is impossible. The heat reflected from Dakmos is enough to incinerate anything that get's too close, plus the light reflecting off of it is blinding it'd be impossible to see to land properly. With all of these thoughts in my head, of course I wasn't really paying attention to my surroundings. What reason was there? There was nothing on Malik but Mud and dead trees, and that mansion. I couldn't've been more wrong. I suddenly heard a fallen twig snap. This cause my ears to perk up and I quickly turned to see what had caused the noise. I screamed at what I saw. A long claw was reaching up from underneath Malik's muddy ground. Slowly a pale Figure pulled itself up from beneath the surface. A Rabbit Furrier, pale, missing it's eyes, torn and muddy clothes, covered in deep gashes and rotting flesh, on ear was entirely missing and the other was just half an ear, and it had otherworldly long sharp claws. It let out a long groan and a horrid stench filled the air, as it slowly lumbered towards me, dragging one leg behind it.
