So it's Halloween. Whereas normally I would be at FurFright having yet another amazing, memorable time, instead I'm at home feeling lethargic and having to work tonight. v__v Oh joy...
I hope people have fun at Furpocalypse this weekend. I would have loved to go obviously. FurFright, up until the end last year, was my "Kill Me Con" which I went to every single year since 2007. I will admit that the end of FurFright and its reincarnation as Furpocalypse had a lot to do with my not going this year. Of course there are financial reasons for not going, as there always are, but in the past I would literally about kill myself to get to the con (that's why it's a Kill Me Con). This year, I decided to be more responsible, and my unrelenting drive to get to CT in October just wasn't the same as it has been in years past due to it just not seeming quite as... special. I'm sure that given time it will become a very special con and may even be able to replicate some of those wonderful feelings and vibes that FurFright was able to give, but that process will start fresh another day. I do plan on trying to attend in the future, and I'm even trying to see if it can be incorporated into the end of my honeymoon, with me and Kat visiting the area where it all started, for the first time as husband and wife (now THAT gave me shivers, heh). For now though, I will simply raise a glass to FurFright in its memory and all the awesome times, and wish Furpocalypse and its staff the best of luck. May this weekend be truly amazing for you all!
In other news, Fuzzcast happened last night, as you may or may not know. I don't think this is going to be a common thing though, as it was more just a spur of the moment because friends were over. There was no planning put into it beforehand (which can have positive and negative effects), but while there were technical issues galore, I do hope it was still somewhat entertaining for whoever showed up! You can go skim through what was recorded last night at http://www.livestream.com/jtfuzzcast. There's 7 videos, but really it's one big video cut up into chunks because my stream kept crashing. :P At least now I know that it's possible in my new place, and I can assure a slightly smoother process for the next one, whenever that is.
Hope you guys enjoy your Halloween! I like to think of it as not just one day, but the whole process that goes on throughout the month. Otherwise, I'd say my Halloween will suck because I'm working tonight but hey, when it rolled over to Halloween last night I was having a fun time doing Fuzzcast, so it's not all bad. ;)
