Nah. Red couldn't have been the one to possess Arthur, he's the one that tears off his arm to stop the possession, it's likely he followed them because he knew something was going to happen, just didn't know quite what.

No, it started from his hand and spread to his head, by ripping off the source he freed Arthur from the possession, like in Idle Hands or Evil Dead.

I tend to believe Arthur is still possesed but the possesion doesnt affect his robotic arm

I can explain the missing eyes, it's to signify that her head is 'hollow', the trauma of witnessing Lewis die right in front of her eyes was too much and when he turned into a ghost her memories were sealed away in the locket, it's his fuel/anchor to remain, however when he opens the locket he sees those memories and it's his closure, he departs with nothing holding him here any further since Vivi doesn't remember him.

That's why he weeps a single tear, he knows there is nothing for him here, and though he may miss her dearly he has to move on... he has to just... disappear.
