When a Zombie Needs to Be Less of a Zombie
11 years ago
After working on a pirate themed image for work that involves a skull I'm starting to realize that when I draw skeletons and corpses (for zombies) I have a bad habit of tumbling head first into the uncanny valley. o.O
It doesn't help that they're human subjects I guess, or that a zombie is de-facto the very bottom of the valley (besides maybe an actual corpse, in 19th century post-mortem photo... wait... don't Google Image Search that what's wrong with you!!!) So, now I need to figure out the nuances of making a dead thing not look quite so dead... hmm. This is going to be a challenge.
