Arizona fur con report. A con of firsts.

So. Now that I'm almost awake. I think I can squeak one of these suckers out.
Oh and if you don't see yourself in this journal, it isn't because I hate you. I may still hate you but the placing or not placing of persons in journal has no bearing on this.
If you are unsure of this status you will just have to suffer.
So this was a con of firsts
It was the first time we've done a pre-con video.
The first time
sharpe19 has ever been guest of honor, I'm über proud of her and all that jazz. It's also the first time I have ever had a handler in suit. And let me say. I was not used to it.
The location was incredible. And it was SOOO NICE to be by the pool in 80 deg weather while it snowed back home.
I would've killed for some powerade or Gatorade tho
First off. Bones was adorable. At one point there was indeed a box top on his head and it was the cutest ever and I cant really even begin to explain why. This is a character sharpe really can tap into. Anyways. She mostly zoomed around in bones. Gave panels.
I really just kind of derped around making heckling comments at everyone. I was tempted to try my hand at MC for a bit. But I chickened out.
Sharpe on the other hand entered into her first ever dance competition. Highly last minute people were like "we'll there's only about 6 people entered. DOOO EEEETTT!!!!
And she did. In about 15 hours she stressed and finaggaled a song to dance to and a bundle of nerves.
And she did amazingly. Her set was incredible. I had seen her practicing as a bundle of nerves and i was beside myself watching her performance. Her set was actually cut early and they demanded she re-start and encore. Which just about killed her in the most adorable manner possible.
She took judges choice from tayerr. I really wish we could've had judges commentary after the performances. But the MC really rushed them along...meh.
It was also a pleasant surprise to be able to tag along with the other guests and ming and el. It was particularly nice to get to know Ahmadia and her husband. Wonderful people. Genuinely wonderful. And talented.
We were able to catch up with ino a bit which was fun. And I got to finally have carne asada dinner I've been missing for so long.
I loved two griffin's panel on "how to talk to your parents about furries" that was fun. It was actually very insightful in a very dick sort of way. And I like a good dick perspective. Helps me feel better about my own dick perspectives.
Oh there's so much that happened. This con was really a blast. It really didn't feel like a second year con, And to be honest. I liked just covering up the GOH part of the badge and just derping around.
It was really hard to leave...
Yeah. This morning PCD hit pretty hard. I really didn't want to go back to work.
Just curled up in bed wishing I could just...yeah. It's better now. Work turned out to be less draconian than I remembered.
And they've put into policy a mandated buddy system. We will see how that goes. But for cereal, there's about five pages detailing their ideal system for two tire techs to do rotates and flat repairs and what have you. I wish I could get paid to sit in an office a d draft that beauty.
Or if I could get paid by the dumb idea. But I really don't want to work in politics.
Anyways. It was con weekend for a lot of y'all and it seems like a time good was all by had.

Less than a month until MWFF, I saw something online and I couldn't NOT buy it for you... Anyways I hope to hand deliver it to you there.
