Have I ever mentioned that I'm a big warship fan? :P
The battleship, once the very symbol of a nation's pride and military might, went extinct in the mid to late 20th century, but a grizzled few of them remained active until the early 1990s before the last of them were finally decommissioned.
It was the end of an era. The Battleship has been made obsolete by smaller, faster vessels who carry missiles that are much more accurate than a battleship's guns could ever be.
Nowadays, the seas are controlled through air power and speed, not so much outright firepower.
Here is one of those magnificent ships of old, the USS Wisconsin, firing her guns for the last time before being retired from service.
I know not many will find this interesting, but for any military/history fans among you guys, this is for you!

Sorry for getting so deep there. lol. But yes, The concussive force from those guns would quite literally shatter your teeth if you were to stand too close!
