Greetings,

I was able to secure a full-time position, which is amazing. The job interview couldn't be better. My new employer is a really nice man. Everything clicked. I didn't expect to start my new job tomorrow, but that's completely fine with me. I'm totally happy. Short notice? More like great notice. Of course, I'll be part of a 90-day training period, but I doubt there will be any complications.

So what does this mean for you, my +watchers and followers? This should get you excited because I'll be working on stories again on a more regular basis. What happened was I was unemployed and had no income whatsoever with the exception of a couple of freelance projects here and there. I didn't feel very productive writing stories and commissions if I was unemployed and not generating some cash flow. Keep in mind that I'm the only member of my family that's earning money, so I'm obligated to keep my priorities straight: job first, perverted musings later. From time to time, I worked on some stories, but it was only when I had some downtime and I wasn't needed for anything.

I want to thank you guys for being so patient and understanding as I tried to get back on my feet. It's been a rough time for me, I'm not going to lie. I quit my job under difficult circumstances, been unemployed for five months with no credible job leads, sent my resume to over 140 potential employers only to secure three job interviews (for you math junkies out there, that was a 2% callback rate) and a local freelance gig that wasn't rewarding at all. Five months without income sucks, especially when you're on the hook for property taxes, bills, car insurance, and other living expenses.

Just being realistic here, I'm going to see how the rest of the week works out because I put my stories and commissions on the frontburner again. But things are looking up, and I can't wait to be back in the saddle again.
