yes, but it doesn't have a lot of anime clichés; no highschools, weird hair, magical girls, that sort of thing.

I honestly think anime is now getting too niche like in many areas. In Japan most people who watch anime are guys who want to see female characters flashing their bits and samey settings; some people hate change or different stuff, and its sad.

Its kind of the same with DrWho and its recent "Everybody lives" vibes, which is boring :o

mmm, well I have a few:
-Nadia of the Blue Water, an adventure series that's nearly 20 years old but still stands well and is sadly a type anime you don't see getting made anymore, or if you do its very rare. Also its short which makes it more watchable and easy to access than say Naruto

-Natsume's Book of Friends, full of unusual and majestic mythical beasts.

-Space Dandy, which has some of the best animation in anime for a while and its a take on the cheesy classic sci-fi stories like Flash Gordon

-Night on the Galactic Railroad; really weird and yet fascinating

Slayers tho... Mmmm Duclis Tho  MudaMudaMuda might have a lot of ideas hed liek to share
