Hmm.. if I understand what you mean correctly.. Prints are a doubel edged sword. On the one paw, if someone is short on cash and just really likes say the 3rd picture, they would be able to buy just that one. On the other paw, this would probably happen quite a bit and furs buying full sets might be a rarity.

As for an art CD, usually those have a tons of pictures on them. Are you talking just having CDs made with just the picture series, or throwing all your work on one, and having the "bonus" of having this particular series on it?

I'm sure there would be some kind of discount for buying the whole set, but yeah, that was my thoughts too. When I talk about the art CD I mean that I would do this collection as well as several others and put them on one CD so this would be something farther down the line. I'll probably end up doing that anyways even if I do sell prints. I'm still very new to all of this so I'm kind of at a loss as how to handle this and regrettably the people I've asked for suggestions who know what they're doing haven't responded to my request for guidance.

Well then, is there any disadvantage to doing it the prints way? You will be testing the waters, getting a little money, seeing how it goes.. and then further down the line, doing the Art CD with the series and others. If the prints sell well, you might not need to do the CD. If they don't, well, no harm right? Can stil try with the CD.

I'm not really aware of there being any disadvantages to doing it the prints way. If I'm gonna do prints though I'd like to know that what I'm doing is what people want to see. Though I suppose sexy man fur is really all that's required for most furs.

how bout both. do a few prints of a couple things that aren't on the cd. put the rest of the wok on disc a do that as well. that will let you hit both crowds of buyers at once.

I think that's what I'm leaning towards.

Yes, well a CD would require having hundreds of pictures to put on it. I won't be ready for that kind of thing for a good long while but I have every intention of doing on some day.

I would love to see an Art CD from you. However I have to mention something; I've been around the net and let me tell you there are some people who have bought furry prints and comics online, and they seem to share these items with many members of an imageboard like Fchan.

Some artists felt like they were robbed and asked the administrators not to post their art without permission, but they'd rather not have it on any imageboard ever.

If they're interested they should buy the product.

How would you feel if a person bought your CD with tons of art and uploaded it for everyone to see without paying? I'd be mad.

One more thing, the members could easily download all of an artists work through bittorrent links.

Because they are in the mind set of: "Why should I pay for something I can get for free?" I personally am of the mindset that if I like something I buy it to help out those that made it. I own most of the anime series that I've downloaded over the years. I doubt that there is a way of keeping people from uploading art from Art CD's and stuff, same with scanning prints they got and posting them up as well. I'm ok with a certain amount of that as it's free advertising, but if someone made the entire art CD downloadable on a bit torrent I'd be mad as hell.
