I don't believe the religion is what dictates policy in this case. It's just a bunch of zealots in power that interpret what is a decent religion that cares about the poor and teaches respect for all animals and put their spin on it. I believe that there is a story (I'm not sure it's in the Koran) that states that the Prophet himself took one of his shoes off, and filled it with water for a thirty dog that he found during his travels.
I do feel horrible for all the people in Iran who make dogs part of their family and now they're not allowed to keep their beloved pets inside the house.
wow yeah this law is such bs but yet it's ok for them to blow up buildings and devastate lives in the US and tell us convert or die all because they believe a fake god? NO sorry it doesn't work that way!!!
