Fangcon... As expected, it was Fangarific. ^^

That's a new term I made up which means "Very much relating to fangs and similar things, but in a good way." I think that aptly describes the con experience. ;3
Very small con, but the programming was very music oriented, which I dug a lot. Unfortunately for me, I got in late Friday, so almost every event I wanted to attend was over. That included most of Rhubarb's panels, the fursuit games, musician meet-up and a beginner's fursuit making panel. But that was ok, as I was more than happy to have nothing at all on the schedule and just do whatever I felt like at the moment. ^^
Mostly hung out with
katalina and
cajunkitty. Did karaoke (though nobody was paying attention). Did some fursuiting (though there was hardly anyone around to interact with). Entertained some folks from a wedding reception in the hotel bar by peering in through the window in suit. Hung out at a pool party (BALL!). Went fursuit bowling with some lovely folks (most of whom I can't remember the names of, though

keefur and
durangodingo were there! I bowled a double and a 114 final score in suit somehow (oh and I forgot my contacts so I was more blind than a bat with cataracts). Played in a ball pit too! There was an indoor basketball court that I would have totally utilized throughout the con for fursuit basketball and shenanigans... if it wasn't under renovation (CURSES). But that just means that I have to attend again and make sure I bring a new camera with a fresh memory stick for maximum furry video-having-ness. ;)
I feel like I didn't really meet a whole hell of a lot of folks at the con, and in fact I felt a little anti-social in general, which was a bit strange but yet not considering I'm actually a very shy person most of the time. And other than the fursuit parade, I never really ran into too many fursuiters (must have been the times I chose to come out maybe). But all in all, I have to say that I enjoyed my time at Fangcon. Nothing bad happened, and it was very relaxed and free-flowing, which is usually opposite of how most cons are that I go to. And there's nothing wrong with a weekend of relaxing with a couple of close friends. ^^
Don't watch "Too Many Cooks" though. Seriously. X__X
May try to go next year, since it's only 3.5 hours away from me, but then again I will be quite busy around that time and may not be able to. But I know I'll be back eventually. :)
If you met me or saw me at the con, feel free to say "Hey" or "You're that guy I saw!" It makes me feel noticed. :-P

I feel your pain there! What's your contact lenses Rx (number like -9.5, -9.0)? I'm curious sense I have to wear my contacts in suit as well at all costs, haha. :) Glad you did good on that game, though! Glad y'all had fun too :>
I tried using my glasses in my head at first, with decent success (that's when I got those two strikes in a row!) but they fogged up and got sweat on them, then I literally couldn't see at all! XD But it was fun walking around pretending to be blind all night (because I was ^^)
Glad the con was a success.
Anyway! Glad you had fun! Still hope to see ya one of these days and maybe play some hoops with ya!
