there are some that seem to think everyone on FA needs to know when they are making art -- or going to the store

there are others that only post when something 'interesting' has happened -- or is about to


three guesses which ones I check and which ones I now delete without even looking ...

This is more in regards to submissions than journals xD I don't often have much written to say.

Just post things as you go.

I feel like FA is a lot like a portfolio. post things you are proud of or that is a good representation of your art because people judge you by the first glance of what they see. So to keep people and future clients interested don't force yourself to post something every day, maybe post something every Friday and pick what you are most proud of that you finished that week. and if you post twice a week cause there's something you really want to share then it's an extra treat for us :3

As often as you feel comfortable with.

Post each submission when it's finished.
I don't see much point of posting works-in-progress.
Post to scraps if it's unfinished, or just a sketch.

Its always nice seeing wips or commission pieces done or heck even your own stuff at least a few times a week xp

I would agree posting finished pictures is cool, if you want to post WIP to scraps that is cool too but I wouldn't say neccesary.
