It may just be a case of when they see it in their inbox, they just have a scan over it and move on, and if they want a closer look they click to view it and enlarge the image, resulting in that view being counted.

Also applies with comments, if they like it, they'd rather just pop a favourite on it showing their appreciation for it rather than saying "Awesome!" or something like that. I'm one of those people. I don't like commenting much, but if I like it I fave it.

I can understand that. i don't need a lot of comments or views on everything i post...but with the way you worded that it just makes me feel that i only get pictures that not many people care about since they just scan over it and pass it by. the only time the views seem to shoot up is if it's a flash art or if some really popular well known artist did the picture for me.

having nearly 650 watcher and only getting about 100 views on these things sorta says something ya know? and i'm pretty sure most of it is just from the people browsing on the "browse" tab that just happen to catch the pic when i uplaod it

Having 650 watchers will rarely ever get you an equal amount of views unless the image happens to become so popular that it goes viral, and even those who don't watch you or even know you will view it. There are thousands and thousands of furs using this website, so in a way yes, not many people would care because they simply don't share that kind of interest to the artwork we post on this end of the fandom.

It's not to say that those who matter to you won't care about what you post, hell those 200 views alone are probably from your immediate close friends who like what you posted and probably shared with other people, but those who just watch you because you posted porn will be among those who simply scan their inbox looking for a quick thrill after a busy day and nothing more.

I've been at your stage where I wondered why people watch me but never comment/view/fave despite how many watchers I have, but I just came to the conclusion that they're here for the thrill of seeing something new, and if they don't like what I post that much, they don't bother.

i understand. again i'm not really complaining about it but it's just something that i was wondering about for awhile now and just decided to post and talk about (since i haven't posted a journal in awhile). having that many watchers and so little views compared to that just messed with my head a little as i've seen plenty of people with way less than what i got yet their pics gets a lot more attention/comments. i'm not saying i look at, fave, or comment on everything the people i watch post but i usually do give the pictures a look and might even save them to my folders.

never did look at it that way as them being my immediate close friends as i assumed a lot of it was just random views most of the time. but i can surely look at it that way...i'm sure there are fans that like what i post~ or a certain character of mine that they wanna see in more art but it's hard for me to always get pictures of certain characters, without a job to commission more pics at least.

welp you know me i hardly use this site. but when i do and if i get lucky and do see something you post most of the time i take another gander. whether it's because i like it or because i want to see who drew it, it all just depends on how many submissions have cluttered in my inbox and whether or not i want to look through it all. nevertheless i do sometimes pop onto your profile to see if i've missed anything

I've actually read quite a few comics oops. It's getting more frequent then I'd like. Animations are nice too. I do have a separate account just to see all that stuff to see all the other hundred submissions that are hidden on your profile while using this one.

But what i do get to see is cute, especially when it's themed.

Yeah i can understand that. good point. but still i wonder the same about the bigger youtubers. seems kinda pointless to subscribe to them if you're not really gonna watch their content but i understand they don't have to watch every video as not every video will interest them. but don't worry that's a very good way of putting it x3

I think your art is great and I really like it. Sometimes it's difficult to find the time to comment everything in my daily list, but I try to take a look at every piece of art and fav it at least, if I don't find the right words for it.
These days are very busy and some people have the same lack of time or whatever. Please don't take this to close to your heart, because the people which like you and your art will always love it!)

i understand. i don't need everyone to fav or comment on everything i have but with the amount of watchers i had the low numbers i had when it came to posting things just doesn't make sense to me. but i thank you for the kind words~
